Looking at a place that is on a snow route with street parking only. Wanted to gauge how PITA this is going to be before offering. Thanks.

There was one on January 2, 2014. Medford declared a snow emergency on December 13, 2013, but I'm not sure if the city of Boston did as well. Somerville declared a snow emergency on December 14, 2013. Marty Walsh declared a snow emergency in Boston on January 22, 2014 and February 4, 2014. I can't find any other dates, so there were at least 3 snow emergencies declared in the city of Boston, and 5 in the Boston metro area.

If the place you're looking at is in Boston itself, many area garages offer discounted parking for residents during snow emergencies.

I never had to worry about that though, even though snow emergencies were called several times while I was in the city, because parking permits are issued by neighborhood. So all you'd have to do is secure a parking spot on a side street that isn't affected by snow emergency route closures.

It isn't any more of a pain than following the street cleaning schedules.
