Hello:
I would like some advice about where to find affordable and safe housing (sublet/1BR) near BMC.
I'm in my late 30s, so I am looking for a good area that has a vibrant neighborhood, for example, restaurants, gyms, grocery store, museum, parks, etc--basically, places where people are easily social.

I'm happy that I moved to Boston, but I would like to live in an area that is affordable and great for a young woman

Thanks!

Won't happen in that range, unfortunately. $1500 might at best get you a basement shoebox if you're planning to stick with South End.

You might get a studio in Fenway for 1550-1600.

So what are some areas in Boston, that are great places to live & meet people (i.e: decreased crime rate)?
As for rent, I can do $1000-1700/month
Thanks!

Depends on what you are into? What is your scene?

the area immediately around BMC is neither affordable nor is it safe. north dorchester might be your best bet but finding something under 1500 a month is tough unless you get roommates then you'd be hard pressed to find someplace that expensive
