I do not know how do you call them in english so I said decorative bricks. But the houses are built in wood then bricks being place all around, like my first pic

That's precast brick/stone siding. It's a cheap building technique and IMO, tacky looking.

But to each their own as they say.

If you don't like vinyl siding, have the vinyl siding removed. It's not difficult. Some people like it because you don't have to paint your house every X years.

I'd also like to point out it appears the Montreal home you posted a pic of has vinyl siding on the sides.

If you're considering Silicon Valley your budget is probably enormous. You can find neighborhoods of beautiful houses if you know where to look. Like serious full on mansions. If you want the whole city to look like a postcard look somewhere else, though.

I don't know what suburb your second picture is supposed to represent but it is NOT one of the good suburbs.

I didn't think the point of the thread was about good or bad Suburbs. And for the record I've seen vinyl sided homes like that in milton.

Unless I read it wrong, I thought his post implied that it was the type of house available in the suburbs.

Yes, I'm aware Milton has some less than desirable areas.
