I am relocating from Raleigh, NC. I am not sure what salary I should ask for in the Boston area. Most times when positions are posted, it doesn't show the salary. Any idea where I can get info like this? I've tried salary.com but I normally find the result to be high, at least for the Raleigh area. Thanks.

p.s. I work in IT as a Software QA Engineer.

I don't have specific salary info relating to your field but it wouldn't surprise me if salaries are high here compared to Raleigh. I've heard a number of people who look at NC say the more affordable cost of living is offset, at least in part, by significant salary drops. Hopefully someone else can offer insight into software industry salaries around here these days.
