Hi, I am a recent college grad moving up to the Boston area in the next few weeks. I will be working in Westford, but want to live as far in/close to the city as possible. Does anyone have any experience with the commute from Boston out to Westford? I'm guessing it is usually the opposite direction of most traffic, but would appreciate a bit more information. Thanks!

Google says between 40-65 minutes from Boston on a Monday morning if you have to arrive at 9:00 a.m. You might try looking into Watertown--I've seen some good comments on this board about it and it will save you about 10 minutes each way as well as 5 miles. Davis Square area could be good too--I don't know about parking there, though.

Google maps has a setting where you can see what their predictions are for a given time of day--check that out.

I'd concur with Davis ... not a terribly stressful drive, probably on the order of 45 minutes in the morning. The only challenge with Davis is it's not cheap, especially if you need a place to stow a vehicle.

I would look at Lowell, very easy commute to Westford.

Agreed. I spent much of my young professional life in Lowell and I have no regrets. Cheap living, decent food/bar scene, and on the weekends, Boston is only 35-45 minutes away.
