Default Moving from NM to Boston

Hello--

I've enjoyed the threads I've read here, but see more requests for rentals. We'll be buying. So any suggestions are helpful. Thank you:

Both my wife and I need to access the green line.

We have two children (3 and 6) who have been in private school thus far, but we'll need to rely on a good school system with this move.

We're bringing along our two dogs....(yard is a must. Is a 1/3 acre plus possible?)

Like a community feel, access to decent grocery stores (trader joe's a plus), proximity to child friendly museums, activities etc a plus

Considering the following areas: Newton, Needham...

We'd like more recommendations for Westerly communities still within commuting distance (within 20 miles).

Had a positive visit to Boston last week. Great people, great food, a lot of fun. We're excited.

Thanks

The mere fact you have to use the green line restrict you to only Newton and the towns touching Newton. Are you willing to drive 20 miles to get to a green line stop?

If you like the city feel, you can try Brookline.

Nothing is impossible. Just bring money. We can be bought.
