Is the food good or is the atmosphere that makes it?

I've eaten there once. Not impressed.

Oh man, I ate there a bunch of times over 20 years ago. I can't speak to it recently but my recollection of it before was that the food was fine -- nothing special. It was more the beer and the atmosphere.

I ate there more than 35 years ago. The food was very good, but I didn't like the noise level and crowding. I guess you could call that one form of atmosphere.

Long ago and far away in 1980s, the food and supposedly charmingly rude Colonial waiters were barely memorable.

I have eaten there. It is a place it seems you must do at least once. Haven't been back there in decades.

Food was pretty good and the atmosphere was excellent. Specially if you like a lively place with some noise. Prices were good as well. I've eaten there many times over the years

I had a huge ribs dinner. It wasn't all that good, and the waitress was tired and disinterested. I wouldn't bother.

Meh. It's a tourist trap. The food's ok, service is rough (intentionally so, to a degree), the proves are higher than they should be, and the place is crowded (again, by design). Do it once, check it off the list and move on.
