Snatale you dont even live in boston anymore do you? You sound pretty bitter about the place. Like it or not people are paying a whole lot of money to live in this places you deem as disgusting. Are there any parts of the city you like?

Any town that borders east or west of Route 24 South to Route 495 is the Hood, or the Hood in training. Avoid.

Yeah it's become more and more faddish over the years. I'd still say it's worth it, once in a while.

Best White guilt term ever.
Southie was never a really diverse neighborhood. In fact it's more diverse now then ever. It used to be a place filled with white trash. However yuppies have taken over the place and not much white trash still exists.

based on this board Easton is becoming hoodish.

I also agree on Charlestown and Southie. They were primarily white neighborhoods. Sadly i guess white yuppies have an easier time moving to a place that's trashy as long as the people living there are white. I think things are changing...but i still dont see yuppies moving to mattapan or certain areas of dorchester/roxbury.

Not wanting to deal with gangs and gunshots is major. Southie and Charlestown haven't been like that since the early 90s. It makes total sense. Roxbury and mattapan still have MAJOR crime issues. It isn't a race thing. People don't want to put themselves or their property in danger. Very simple.

Default Re

Well for some people i think it was and maybe still is a race thing. Some people just want to live in a neighborhood with people like themselves.
