Meeting an out-of-town colleague for dinner this week in East Cambridge. Just moved to the area not long ago, so looking for suggestions. One of us is a vegetarian, and moderate to low noise level preferred. Doesn't need to be super upscale. Poked around Yelp but tough to ascertain what would work for a business-type dinner. Thanks in advance

Back when my company still was taking people out to dinner, I liked Helmand on First Street. It's Afghani, which is not something you find a ton of. Would be a good choice for

Loyal Nine has excellent food and they are very accommodating to vegetarian diners. Last time there we had their shared supper (their version of a tasting menu) and the some of the modified dishes that came out for my veg colleague looked better than my meat versions.

BISq could work as well.

Thanks to you both for the suggestions. Helmand's looking pretty good based on menu and Yelp reviews. Keep 'em coming!

Just to follow up...Helmand it was, last evening. Great recommendation. Both myself & my colleague liked it. A bit warm sitting near the oven, but the bread was great. Thanks again.
