There are a lot of good ones and I won't pick one as the best. But I would start with Boston Burger Co, RF O'Sullivans, and Bartley's.

I've been liking Flat Patties in Harvard Sq. Particularly for the price.

I like Mr. Bartley's in Harvard Sq. Cash only, I think.

High end - Craigie on main (Cambridge allowed?)
Middle - JM Curley or Coda
Grab n go - Tasty Burger or Mr Bartleys

Bartley's is over rated IMO. I much prefer O'Sullivan's.

JM Curley or Eastern Standard are my usuals. Craigie on Main for the non-Boston entry.

I'm a fan of JM Curley's burger as well. Didn't know they're becoming known for it. The rest of their menu is fine but that burger is sublime.
