How close to 128 station do you work? It's right at exit 13, but if you're in Canton that's at least a mile walk each way. If you have regular hours and arent too far, it could be worth considering the Fenway area and just taking the rail.

Well once again with that budget and desire to be close to canton there aren't a whole lot of options. HP is close to canton and is in boston. Im not sure what rents are like there but is a more affordable part of boston at the moment.

Try Brighton. 1250 is way too low, you'll be in a studio 30mins outside the city. Get roommates.

You can certainly find a place within budget in Brighton. Not sure if he will think it's boring though. I personally quite like it.

I don't need to be dead center in all the action, just better access. You have to realize that pretty much anywhere will be an improvement over Scituate.

Ha true! Well I live in Brighton Center and for me, it's the only place in Boston I'd want to live to be honest. Been here 5 years, no intention of leaving. I think it's pretty adequate and the best all around neighborhood. If you have further Brighton specific questions, hit me up.

You could look at the Cleveland Circle area.

I think some of the troubles at that price range in these areas are going to be with your car and storing Motorcycle.

True, off street isn't going to be available with that budget.
