I think it's romanticized here from outsiders. Just as people on the outside think Southie today is a bar brawling, union job having, whitey bulger town. they may be sad to see that it's pretty much Wellesley these days.

OK, Boston is the most racist city in the world. Everybody should stay away. Given the city is more than full already, we're not gonna lose any sleep if you don't come (trust me on that one).

this is a pretty good series:
Color line persists, in sickness as in health - The Boston Globe

it practically says that boston has a lot of socio-economic disparities (not the worst; but def not the best).

Which of course has nothing to do with economics and geography, but because of racism. Where did it compare Boston to other cities?

not sure i understand the question. the article mentions several of those issues as well as comparisons to other cities ?

Of course its The Boston Globe.. The paper that tells half a story and infers the Kennedys are Gods messengers to earth .
