Hi All,

The company I work for was recently acquired by a group that uses French as its official operating language. I would like to begin working toward some operational ability in the language. Do any of you have recommendations for how to start into this? I am interested in both online and local in person classes, but cost is a concern as always. I am a beginner but a reasonably quick study on languages.

Thanks.

You might want to check out classes given at the French Cultural Center. The Alliance Française is present in Boston since 1898 according to their website.
Bonne chance!

Try your local library. They often have programs using on-line or computer resources.

Pimsleur is the best language learning program that I've seen. It mimics the way a child learns, you pratice speaking with dialogues. You can listen to a sample lesson on their website and many libraries have the audios. Good luck!
