Please stop with these scare tactics. You'll be fine.

Officials renew Esplanade warning after unsolved sex attacks

This story is a few years old. However I have lived in close proximity to the esplanade for 25 years. I would not let my wife or daughter run there at night.

I was using a college track but the lights are being left off after nightfall until the fall semester starts.

Someone recommended the Castle Island loop, which is clearly a don't. The causeways aren't lit and once out there, seemingly it could be a mile before reaching the shore. Recipe for trouble.

Any public tracks that are lit and frequented in the evenings? Other suggestions?
Comm Ave between Uphams Corner/BU to Kenmore Square.

Aside from the "giving permission" to two adult women, I agree with you.

😂 Get over yourself. My daughter isn't an adult and my wife actually appreciates me looking out for her as someone who has lived in the city much longer than she has. I wouldn't encourage anybody I loved to put themselves in a potentially dangerous situation regardless of age or sex.

"...wouldn't encourage" is very different from "would not let."
