Massport has agreed to study the proposal in exchange for the Conservation Law Foundation to not oppose Logan's plan for a new parking garage.

IMHO, Massport will consider it and then file the proposal away once the parking garage is built.

They already charge tolls for 75% of the people who drive to Logan. Just put up a gantry on 1A heading north and be done with it.

I was reading some thread on Facebook about this and it sounds like many people go our out their way to avoid Logan and try their hardest to fly out of Manchester, providence or even worcester. Sounds like Logan is just crappy in many ways. Are they in trouble financially? I dont see how. I hate flying so I just don't do it now and it's easy not to when You toddlers. I find the whole experience awful and claustrophobic. I do like visiting new places but flying really puts a damper on this. It just seems like traveling by plane is getting worse and worse. Is first class worth it? I cant fathom paying those prices.

It's anything but in trouble. I would be for this if they agreed to lower their absurd parking fees. They continue to rob us because they can.

Yep. Even the Economy parking rates are complete extortion. I feel violated every time I pay for parking there.

Massport has the whole place on lockdown, with $586.5 million of their revenue being attributed to Logan.

The idea of them charging for pick-ups is absurd. The parking fees are trivial to many people as they are business travelers and can expense them. For others coming from Maine, VT, etc. it is just the cheapest option. If you live (I'm guessing) between 100mi and economical "Ubering distance" of the airport, you have someone picking you up or dropping you off. Either that or you are taking a Massport bus and getting dropped off or paying to park there as well.

If they put the money back into actually having the Blue Line run to the terminals or making the Silver Line not suck so badly I could see the argument.
