Any input about living near Boston Childrens/Beacon Israel? Building is next to the Emerald Necklace, just across from Brookline Ave Playground.

It seems it's in the town of Brookline, if it's perhaps near the Aspinwall intersection, on the Boston border.

If so, very safe. That part of Brookline of Ave. is quiet overnight.

Its actually on the Boston side..... Is there enough bars/restaurants in the area as google maps makes it seem like a very industrial area (due to the hospitals).

If you are noise and light sensitive, like I am, think twice about living near a hospital. Perhaps, the construction of the building and being adjacent to a park will buffer some of the ambulances.

That area is not for people who want a good nightlife.

Building is new construction, has a view and significantly cheaper than living even a mile away!

Ah, yes. Nice new luxury building. Wasn't that the former site of Mass Mental?

I guess Penguin Pizza is good at night, as it turns into more of a bar scene. And the Mission, Puddingstone, a sushi place, Stop and Shop up the hill, Lily's Gourmet Pasta, another nice restaurant on that same 1400--1500 block of Tremont, etc. Plus Au Bon Pain 24/7 at Brigham and Women's.

Quite a change from years ago.

That's great but none of that is relevant to nightlife, which I thought is what you were asking about. There's stuff around, it's just not a hopping nightlife area that's all.

It's only a mile away from the Fenway area, which is hopping with new stuff.
