I don't know any places by North Station that are quiet for a date. I have other places I like going, but the area is being dictated to me in this case.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Yeah, I checked the schedule after posting this and realized I'm probably out of luck.

I suggested an alternate place closer to Faneuil Hall.

Thanks.

The bar at Union Oyster House does not get too loud.

Cultivar is at the Ames hotel near Faneuil Hall next to the Old State House. Never been but has a decent 4.4 rating when I Googled it.

Anthem in Quincy Market may be nice, as you'll be near the "Blink!" holiday tree performance every half hour for 10 minutes or so. I think they've won best chowder in the past.

I think the Bostonian hotel still has a nice bar.

Is it for drinks or dinner?

Great date bar. I went two weeks ago. I'd recommend it (though drinks aren't cheap and I hope you like Gin because that's their specialty).

As others have pointed out, there's a Celtics game. So most of the the N. Station area bars will be packed with fans. You could always give Finch (in the Bullfinch Hotel) a shot as it doesn't usually do gameday crowds. I haven't been, but Rogue is pretty new (used to be Northstar) and has sort of a blend of Asian and American cuisine and drinks (think Mai Tais, etc). Not the prototypical sports bar.

If none of those look good, You can walk the short distance to the North End (Parla is a good, small, quiet bar with small plates), or towards Faneuil Hall (as was mentioned, Cultivar is good). If you like craft beer, Ginger Man is real nice too, as is Bostonia Public House. Closer to N.Station, you could try Tip Tap Room on Cambridge Street. I like the atmosphere there.
