Well, at least in Quincy in the Wollaston section at the former Papa Gino's at Hancock and Beale streets.

It's a Tawainese chicken (BBQ chicken?) place called TKK, plus a bubble tea section. I think the manager said they're opening next in Harvard Square? It surely helps Wollaston that this corner spot didn't sit vacant that long.

Apparently, its first site is in Brooklyn? It was mentioned in the Globe among other new area restaurants by writer Devra First.

Anybody noticing if the other closed Papa Gino's storefronts are still sitting empty?

I didn't check the Papa Gino's location down by Quincy Center lately but I do know that the one in Lowell that closed at the same time is still vacant.

Funny that you mentioned TKK. I went in there not too long ago and was appalled at the 1) prices and 2) inability to have prepared adequate food (the cashier said I'd have to wait a half an hour for a family meal because they had to prepare an entire chicken ). Needless to say, I am not impressed and probably won't be going back there again. They seem to be doing well with the bubble tea but I am not a fan of bubble tea either.

The Papa Ginos that closed by me has been a taqueria for a few months now. It's really good and a great addition to the neighborhood. It's in Tatnuck Square in Worcester. https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?i...content_filter

They're new, so to help market themselves, they should've offered you a discount or some appetizers if you had chosen to wait that long.
