I know I'll need to take the train from Providence into Boston and then the "T" to Mass General Hospital. (55 Fruit St.)

My question is, where does that train drop you off, and what "T" would I take to get to the hospital?

Filled with anxiety, being that I've never done this before. Thanks for the help.

You would probably take the Providence/stoughton commuter rail into south station. From there you would get on the redline at south station heading towards alewife. The stop you would get off at is Charles/mgh. You could then most likely just walk to wherever the appt at mgh is.

Sounds easy enough. Thank you. I'll have to check the train schedule as far as timing. Have to be at the appointment at 3:30.

If the commuter rail schedule doesn't work, check Amtrak. It'll be more $$$ though.

Commuter Rail from Providence to South Station.

Transfer to Red Line (The "T")

Take the Red Line from South Station to Charles MGH in the direction of Alewife. (Approximately 3 stops).

Walk to youre destination if needed.

You can also take a bus from Providence , right into South Station, and then catch the Red Line, or even just walk...

Nothing to be anxious about but you'll find this will turn into an all day project due to the awful train schedule.
