Default Hershey Station parking

Hi,

I am considering moving near the Hershey Station on the Needham line. I probably won't be lucky enough to be within walking distance, unfortunately, so I would have to drive to the station and park before taking the train. I'm assuming it's a non-reserved parking lot.

My question is: how fast does the parking lot at Hershey Station (or any MTBA station) fill up? How hard is it truly to get a space on a daily basis? Is driving to the station viable or will it be frustrating?

Thanks,
crickitty

Default Hersey station parking

Hi,
A couple of my coworkers who park in that station to come to work tell me that there's always spaces any time of day. Note that Hersey has 2 parking lots next to one another; the smaller one does fill.

The lot is not reserved. It's $2 a day.

Otherwise, in Needham, the Needham Heights station does not fill. Needham Center and Needham Junction do fill.

Driving to Hersey looks easy; it's right on Great Plain Ave.

Good luck!
