Default Ashburnham, MA

Anyone from the area that can tell me about the town of Ashburnham, MA? We are interested in a lake property there and were wondering about the town, schools, etc. Is it safe? how are the schools? What kind of community is it?

Thanks!

Ashburnham is a small town on the New Hampshire border about 60 miles west of Boston. There are quite a few lakes in that town, and some are quite nice. The town in pretty rural and Gardner would be the closest place with amentities. The town is safe, and I've heard the schools are decent, but can't comment any more on the schools.

Thanks for the reply. We visited this weekend and were quite impressed with the area. I would like to know a little more about the schools and services the town might offer if anyone is from the area.
