I suppose I would be in luck if I were a man...but, alas, I am not interested in women in that way....

gamsauer,
Oops! I just ASS_u_ME. Sorry about that.
You just reminded me of the story about the surgeon's son in a car accident. Where we assume the surgeon is a man...LOL.

And when they rebuilt it here, they used the same construction techniques originally used by the Chinese builders.
Smarty: Are you Chinese? For some reason, you remind me of a Chinese person when I read your posts. I'm Chinese too.. so I pick up on things like this.

I grew up in the area you are asking about, I would agree the Mansfield area, between bos and pvd, the major highways are right there in Mansfield, and the cape is a very short drive away also. You have the commuter rail right there, so you can get into downtown boston and I believe it goes into Providence also, which is always being redone with shopping and restaurants. There is plenty of shopping around in the nearby towns, these are smaller towns, so everything is a very short drive if you want to go to a mall or the outlet stores, restaurants etc. I mentioned Mansfield also because it is somewhat more affordable than Sharon and Canton which are on the same commuter rail line as Mansfield. I believe a shopping development is building stores along I-495 which runs thru Mansfield. Good Luck.

What about Attleboro?
I'm so sorry about your loss. I wish you the best of luck in MA. I live in Norton (no train line here and very quiet). However, I would suggest looking at Attleboro since schools are not an issue. Much more affordable than Sharon. The downtown area is a little seedy but there are very nice parts of Attleboro as well. There are two train stations in Attleboro and the train goes to both Boston and Providence.
