Default Hopedale MA info

Hi,
After searching for a few months, my family is moving to Hopedale in a couple of weeks.
My children at home range from 1-14 so any input would be very helpful in terms of community involvements (Scouting, sports etc). Also, where would the nearest public transportation to Boston be?
We are a 1 car family so any tips or suggestions for making daily errands and activities by foot would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your input. We have not heard a bad word about the town and hope to be very happy settling in there.

Regarding public transportation to Boston there is none that I know of. That's like 40 miles outside Boston... you're waaaaay better off driving in. There is a commuter rail station in Franklin I believe, but I don't know how long it's going to take you to get parking/commute in and how consistent that rail is.

Thank you FinkieMcGee. I will have to check into the commuter rail station for when we need to get into the city since driving in won't be possible.

Here's the schedule for the Franklin line: http://www.mbta.com/schedules_and_ma...route=FRANKLIN

There's plenty of parking at Forge Park.

Hopedale is a nice small town with good schools.

I thought of another couple of questions if some of you wouldn't mind giving me input. We are considering Milford Pediatrics and don't know who to choose. Any thoughts? How about a family dentist and an orthodontist in the Hopedale/Milford area?

Also, we will be looking for a new church to attend. Is there a First Baptist church in the area?

Thanks for your help!
