Default What is this neighborhood called?

Hey guys.. I was in Boston a week ago, and a little area caught my attention, and I was just wondering what it's called. It was near the Pedestrian mall, and also the orange line stop for Massachusetts Ave... some of the names of the streets were Claremont Park, Greenwich Park, Newton Street.... it was a nice little spot, and I liked the look of all the apartments/houses, and it seemed nice and cozy. What's this place called, and how much does the housing run for in this area?

That's the South End. My friend's bought a renovated 1 bedroom condo with a roof deck for around $400,000. To rent, 1 bedrooms are probably $1500-2500.

In other words, it's trendy and high-priced around there LOL.
Had to laugh at "pedestrian mall," as that's actually Southwest Corridor Park. It runs parallel to the Orange Line rapid-transit tracks all the way out to Jamaica Plain, but in many sections is mainly little more than a paved bike/pedestrian path lined with bushes and containing some planters.
Areas of Boston more comparable to Jackson Hts are the Savin Hill, Fields Corner, and Lower Mills sections of Dorchester, some parts of Jamaica Plain and Allston-Brighton, and the Mission Hill portion of Roxbury. Outside the city there'd be eastern Cambridge (the neighborhoods between Lechmere, Inman, and Central Squares), Union Square in Somerville, and the cities of Chelsea, Revere, and Everett.

Hey, I stole that Pedestrian Mall thing straight from Google Maps! Thanks for the information; really appreciate it!
