Man, I can't believe people are complaining about this list. Sure some of them are from a bygone era, but god 90% of them are absolutely standard.
I grew up in the boston area, but have, sadly, been gone for the last 6. Reading those 101 things warms my heart and bring a smile to my face. Just like those lists of boston english that bring back words some of us former northeasterners have long since forgot. Thanks Dave for posting it!

You are welcome! Pay no attention to the "Negative Nancies", they could probably find you a latte on Newbury Street but don't know a "flounder hook" from a "cod hook"..

No, actually the list is accurate. That's why we think it's so funny.

Speaking of 2 AM at Kelly's, my 2 AMs were sometimes spent at Buzzy's Roast Beef, the Deli Haus in Kenmore Square, or the IHOP that sed to be on Harvard Street in Brookline. Oh, and the Moon Villa for cold tea in Chinatown.
Another local thing: clam strips vs. clams (whole bellies included). I haven't found that distinction anywhere else. We used to go to Hojos for fried clams when I was little.
I recognize most of the things on the list, though a few of them are before my time.
Paragon Park at Nantasket Beach in Hull. Best rollercoaster ever!

Did anyone ever go to Eddie's Diner in Quincy at 2 o AM? Hilarious place to be. That's gone now.

Now that the term "jimmies" has been revealed, how about the local term for a milkshake? The mileage you get may vary, but my observation has been that the milkshake term is less widely known by transplants, and sees a lot less use outside the really local kinds of neighborhoods than it did several decades ago.
