Default Best Hotel to Stay at in Boston?

Hello we're planning a trip to Boston. We would like to stay in a hotel that close to the city but doesn't break the bank. Would like to be able to take the T and such. Can anyone recommed a place? Will need a place to park a car as we're driving in. For our trip we our going to tour fenway, go to Boston hockey game, and also my wife is going to Simmons college. What city should we live in to rent that won't break the bank and can use the t? don't want to drive to work and grad school. Can anyone else recommed anything else? The trip is only 2 days. I look forward to calling Boston our new home soon thank you

We stay at the Midtown Hotel when we go to Sox games. It's located down the street from the Prudential Center and it's T stop. The hotel is older and dated, but the rooms are fairly large and clean. Best of all, it's got FREE parking, something you rarely find at other hotels in the city.

You could consider the sheraton in braintree. They give you a ride to the T
also the parking is free. go to trip advisor and read the hotel reviews.
waltham also has alot of hotels, and you can take the t into boston.

Use priceline: It works every time! Go to biddingfortravel.com -- this website will tell you which hotels have come up in the various areas. I stayed at the Park Plaza for $60 over New Years a couple of years ago thanks to Priceline.

Default Best Hotel right OUTSIDE of Boston

It depends on where you live now. If you are driving from the North of Boston, then I would suggest staying at the Ameri-Suites in Medford. They have a free shuttle that picks you up and drops you off at Wellington's MBTA "T" stop. If you miss the shuttle there's the Riverside bus that you could take from Wellington to get you to the Ameri-Suites. The bus stop is very conveniently right across the street from the hotel. A lot of people highly recommend this hotel. It's clean, safe, reasonable and there's plenty of places to have breakfast or lunch near the hotel. There's Medford Square with a load of places and there's also Wellington Circle which now has a Kelly's Roast Beef and a Regina Pizzeria to name a few. It's nothing from Wellington to get in to downtown Boston. You'd go to Haymarket I believe to switch over to the Green line. Just go to the MBTA site to see how you'd change. As I said, this Hotel would be ideal if you were driving anywhere from the north of Boston

If you really wanted to stay right in downtown Boston, as the previous poster mentioned, check bidding for travel dot com as well as priceline dot com. Both very good sites to help you get a room at incredible rates. Some times? You can get a good rate by just calling the hotel directly. I know that the Omni Parker House has really good deals a lot of times and so doesn't the Clarion Collection Bulfinch Hotel near North Station. Some times the Hotel Marlowe which is located right near the Museum of Science and Cambridgeside Galleria has really good deals on their site. This hotel is in Cambridge though not Boston, although it's extremely convenient to Boston and it's not too far from the green line trolley. Check their site to see what I mean, a lot of times they have great packages.

Good luck and have a great time!
