Default Irish Setter in Urban Brookline/Boston?

Anyone have an active, not so small dog (such as a setter) in the more urban areas of Boston, and if so, how is that going? Considering a move from the suburbs but the dog is one concern.

I see plenty of large dogs in Brookline and in Boston. You probably won't have a private yard, so just walk your dog or find a dog park. Are you planning on renting or buying?

Brookline is a dog-friendly place with lots of parks, however, it can be challenging to find an apartment to rent that will allow dogs.

Planning on renting at first, which definitely seems to limit the options... Thanks for the info

I recommend renting a place owned by an individual, instead of a larger company, as it would be a bit easier to negotiate the pet policy (with a deposit, of course). Jamaica Plain and parts of Cambridge are also pretty dog friendly with lots green spaces.
