Wink Hotel Choices, which one would you pick?

I have three different hotel reservations for our trip this summer. I am going to cancel 2 of them, obviously. Which of these hotels do you think we'd enjoy the most.

We are first time Boston visitors. We will be in town for 3 nights. It will just be myself and my 17 year old son. We want easy access to things, and to be in a safe area. A nice, comfortable room is also important.

The prices we received are very similar at these 3 locations. Please give me as much info as possible about each one & which you'd pick..

1. Radisson in the Theater District. 200 Stuart St. The room rate here includes parking & breakfast. Hotel has a great view (supposedly) Price $250 per night

2. Hotel Commonwealth, 500 Commonwealth Ave. near Fenway Park. This room doesn't include breakfast or parking. Has great reviews! Price: $240 per night

3. Bullfinch Hotel, 107 Merrimac St. Downtown area - looks like it is close to everything. NO breakfast included. More expensive than the others and there is no parking nearby (according to them). Price $260 per night

Depending on the choice, we may just turn in our rental car early at the airport & not worry about the parking fees... If we do that, is it easy to get to these hotels using public transportation - or should we use a taxi?

Thank you !!!!

It's easy to get anywhere in Boston using public transportation. Walking and the "T" really will take you anywhere you need to go. I definitely wouldn't attempt to drive around much, especially with it being your first time in the city. The only thing is if you are using public transportation to get to your hotel for the first time. I'm not sure how much luggage I would want to carry onto the T.

Sorry, I don't know anything about the specific hotels you mentioned.

Tourist Boston is about a total of 3 miles from one side to the other. Unless you plan to go outside of Boston (like Lexington, Plymouth, ... etc) , I suggest you NOT to rent a car. The hotels are less than a couple miles from airport. Take a TAXI. Some hotels may even have their own tranportations.

Never been inside any of those hotels. In terms of locations, I like Radisson and Commonwealth better. Radisson near theater, Boston common and Faneil hall. However, Radisson is an older hotel. Commonwealth is a recently update and near Fenway, Copley, Prudential, and MIT. Both easy with subway or taxi.

For that price, I suggest you also check out Boston Harbor hotel. Great view of the harbor.

All areas within a 12-mile radius of downtown Boston are charged by meter. All fares departing Logan are charged an additional fee of $2.00, plus a $4.50 fee for harbor tunnel crossings. Always ask driver for a receipt.

Metered-rates from Logan to the Boston-area hotels listed below range from $20 to $45 (approximate)
