Berklee & Boylston Street
I may be attending a summer event at Berklee on Boylston Street. I'm know Salem well and the Faneuil Hall downtown area, however I've never been to Berklee and visited that area and Boylston Street. I want to know
a. are there any Berklee students or former students here, how is it, I know it has instructors that have worked with some huge artists and entertainers. Did you ever attend any of their summer programs?
b. how is Boylston street? How far is it from Faneuil Hall? Are there any good shops and pizza restaurants on Boylston street?
I'd appreciate the help very much, thank you!

This is a good area that's on the green line & closer to Fenway than Fenuel Hall. F.H. is farther east. There are a lot of clubs/bars along Boylston.

I can't comment on the school, but it's an excellent area. Much better than FH IMO. You have The Other Side Cafe and Newbury St just around the corner. You got Little Stevie's Pizza on Boylston. TC's Lounge and Bukowski's Tavern. Shopping at Copley and the Pru mall. Lansdowne St. The fresh kicks at Bodega.
I could go on and on...

You find that most of the students who've been around Boston for a while tend to avoid Faneuil Hall area, as it's pretty touristy. There are MANY shopping and dining options around Berklee. I second Cliff's recommendations. For reviews and handy maps check out Boston Restaurants, Dentists, Bars, Beauty Salons, Doctors

I lived for many years on Stoneholm Street, just two blocks from the Berklee performance space and much of the school. It is a lively area, near Symphony Hall, Newbury Street (nice shopping) and lots of exotic but not too expensive restaurants. It is on the Green Line which runs under Boylston Street and Boston Common (Downtown Crossing and Chinatown areas nearby) past Government Center to Haymarket (open air produce market on Fridays and Saturdays) and Faneuil Hall and the Italian North End.
I have walked from Berklee to FH many times, about 45 minutes if you don't dally. Downtown Boston is pretty compact, and easy to get around in as long as you don't try to use a car.
That help?
