Jurys Boston (hotel, to live, restaurant)

How well-known is this place to Boston locals? Has anybody stayed there?

I'm talking about the Jurys Boston hotel on Stuart St. in Back Bay. It's a hotel that was renovated from the former police headquarters.

I almost moved to Boston this past October, moving somewhere else this summer (not by choice, albeit temporarily) and hope to visit/move to Boston next year.

I am fascinated by this hotel, but it's not the reason I love Boston. Just curious as to how known this landmark is. Asked a friend who used to live there and he had never heard of it.

I'd say the Liberty Hotel (renovated Charles St. Jail) is more well-known, simply because of all the buzz surrounding the bar and restaurant inside. Clink is a popular after-work drink spot for some folks who work at MGH/MEEI. Both are equally pricey though, so not many residents would pick either as a destination.

Definitely very well known. Close to everything. FYI- will be changing its name within the next few months to The Back Bay Hotel.
