moving to boston (transplants, living in, Hispanic)

i am moving to Boston for work ,however i am a minority and i have not read anything good about life in Boston for someone like me.Can a minority leaving in Boston tell me what life is really like.I am 24 and would like to know if i am going to be bored stiff and if there is a possibility to make friends and have some sort of social life.

We are recent transplants to the area. I am white while my wife is black hispanic. Living in the south for years we got used to the questions and the looks. But since we've been in the northeast we have not experienced one inappropriate look or question. Matter of fact, we have not heard any rude comments or seen any crazy scenes. You will be fine. In case you wonder; yes, my wife agrees with my observations.
