It's part of the Eagle Hill neighborhood, one of the communities within "Eastie" that has stayed desirable and weathered various transitions well. Eagle Hill is considered to be a historic district, with more distinctive (and single-family) homes than much of the area. Befitting the name of this enclave , some of its streets are named for birds of prey: Condor, Falcon, etc.
Though Eagle Hill is quiet and safe, the same can't be said for adjoining communities such as Chelsea and Central Square. But they lack more for quietness - due to population density - than actual security.
