Hello. Can anyone provide a listing of towns which offer a morning commute (by car) into Boston which is 30-45 minutes? We are currently looking in Wayland, Wellesley, Milton and Weston. Although, I'm not sure if these towns offer a 30-45 minute commute into the city during AM traffic?

We would like to have great school systems and ease of morning commute. I'm also not sure with our current price range of 800-900K that Wellesley or Weston will buy us much. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

Default By car?

Wellesley is served by rail service to Boston. Milton has surface tram connect
to the Red Line at Ashmont (downtown in 20 mins.)
A commute to Boston in the time-frame you're posting would best be done by helicopter, especially from the south shore and western towns.
We get snow here, lots of it, usually at the most inopportune times, like at nights so the plows are out there keeping you company for your morning drive.
The real estate prices are reflecting this. The closer to a mass transit station the higher the price. Eastern Massachusetts is well-served by mass transit, and for very good reasons.

In that price range, you have a lot of good options. Where are you going in the city? I would recommend Newton, Belmont, Winchester, or Lexington. All should be 30-45 or less and all have great schools. All are pricy, but you should be able to find something very nice in all four for under 900k.
