Default Bachelorette party

Hi all,

I'm hoping you can help me out. I'm helping to plan a bachelorette party in Boston for June. I'm not too familiar with the area, so I was looking for some input on where to go. All the girls are 25-35 years old. No dance clubs - looking more for bars with a fun atmosphere, but no real dives. We're probably just going to do apps and drinks and not a full dinner. Someone suggested a show at the Improv Asylum - worth it or no? We're staying in the South End if that helps.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Check out Jillians on Lansdowne street. Link here. It's a massive complex with the best of everything. The first level is a large bar/ dance floor area (called "tequila rain"). It's a casual dance atmosphere... not drastically upscale, but not a dive either. On the second floor there are some more bars, seats (serving decent apps), TONS of billiards tables. There is also a massive lounge and bowling on the second and third floors. The roof has a small bar/ outdoor deck (smokers hangout, but good for fresh air).

This complex is excellent for large groups with varied tastes. It's also in the shadows of Fenway park and there are a number of bars along this stretch that can be fun if you feel like leaving (baseball fans will LOVE Bleacher Bar which is right near Jillians and has a window looking out onto Center Field at Fenway). If you want a show or something beforehand, check the schedule for House of Blues... only a few doors down from Jillians.

Anyway, it's just one suggestion, good luck!

I love Toro in the South End, great tapas and sangria. Two others in the S. End my girlfriends and I like are Sister Sorel and Pho Republique. The Beehive can definitely accommodate a larger group than the previous two.

I'd suggest Faneuil Hall and that area. You have: The Hard Rock, Dick's, Ames Plow, Cheers, Hong Kong, Trinity, The Place, Durgin Park, Bell in Hand, Jose Mac's. And I'm sure I'm missing atleast a dozen others. That area has to have the highest concentration of bars/pubs/clubs in the city.

Toro and some places in the South End (like Beehive) would be fun, and probably more age-appropriate than the Faneuill Hall places.
