Thumbs up bar hopping in Boston

hey! were are a few newly college grads in Boston for the weekend and we're looking for a good place to bar hop. Where are some good nieghborhoods to put a few back. Were staying in a hotel in the south bay center so somewhere on the south side is preferrable. by looking online my front runners are Back Bay and the south end. Any thoughts?

thanks!

Try down by Quincy Market. The Blackstone block is a great place to start. There are a half dozen open air clubs there and a dozen in the surrounding area. You'll have a great time. BackBay has high cover charges.

I would suggest the back bay area also, but if you do a pub crawl start fairly early to avoid cover charges. Your going to get cover charges at many places and the pub crawl will become very expensive and also annoying after waiting in lines and paying over and over again.

Actually, another decent and easy place to do a pub crawl is the allston/brighton area and you can usually avoid many of the cover charges. I also found the crowd there to be more laid back than downtown Boston.
