We have a 9 month old lab/shepherd mix who will be staying behind while we go on vacation. She LOVES to be off leash, so we were looking for a kennel that has a big fenced area where she can be "loose" for a good period of the day -- although she doesn't mind being crated at night or for short periods during the day, she would be MISERABLE being crated for most of the day. We are obviously wanting the place to have a good reputation, be safe and clean, and have excellent standards as far as only accepting friendly pets who have all their shots. We don't want to come home to a sick or injured puppy! Ours is super friendly, loves all people and pets but is very curious and playful and rambunctious, hence the needing of daily exercise.

Does anyone have a recommendation? We are just south of Boston but would consider driving a bit if the place was right.

Thanks in advance!

4 star ratings or better cumulative

The Land of Pawz - North Weymouth, MA
Land of Pawz Dog Kennel, Boarding, Grooming, Training, Dog Food - all on the South Shore in Weymouth, MA

Wetnoze Pet Concierge - Quincy, MA

My neighbors use this place: Red Dog Inn & Resort - Mansfield, MA | Home Page

They rent a suite where he has his own couch and TV.

We use a service called Pet Sitter Melissa, run by a woman named Melissa. She is a vet tech and has basic vet supplies on hand. She runs the business out of her home, and dogs are only kenneled if they are kenneled at home and even then, only when she or her assistant leaves. Located in Revere.

Our two dogs are really happy there. She only accepts a certain number of dogs at a time, and books up quickly! She also offers pick-up services by her assistant for an extra fee, which has definitely come in handy for us when we are on a tight schedule.
