Smile Best way to get from Cambridge to Lexington in the morning?

I'll be living in Cambridge but doing the reverse commute into Lexington for work. Thanks!

The fastest way by car would be to take Route 2 west from the Alewife Rotary, then exiting at whichever street is closest to your work: Park Ave (Arlington Hts, connecting to Mass. Ave), Dow Ave/Appleton St, Pleasant St, Marrett Rd, Waltham St...Staying on Mass. Ave guarantees one red light after another, and forget about letting out the throttle during those long stretches between lights in Arlington 'cause the cops are onto that one!
T bus service out Lexington way is pretty lean, but the 62 and 76 lines out of Alewife present the alternative possibility. Both follow the same route until beyond 128, that being largely along Mass. Ave from the aforementioned Park Ave. Check out the timetable at mbta.com to see whether that might work for you.

Reverse commute via route 2 should work fine

plenty of exits---in Lexington

I can get from arlington - Lexington via Route 2 in a bout 15 minutes
