Default Holyoke Community College

Hi- My daughter is looking into Holyoke Community College. Any information on the college and area would be helpful. Looking for information on housing too.

I'd post your request in the Massachusetts forum instead of Boston; Holyoke is not in the Boston area and Boston people don't know much about it.

Default Hcc is a nice school

HI, I live near Holyoke and went to HCC. It is a wonderful little college campus, and I am sending my son there soon. Also there is a huge mall and cracker barrel down the street, and also a large carousel in Holyoke if you visit. The class sizes are small and the teachers are very personable. I actually left umass to go there since the classes at umass are sometimes auditorium sized. Hcc has a friendly family feeling with small classes like in high school. You can check the hampshire gazette online for classifieds. I find that easier than the springfield union newspaper. Also try masslive.com. I would say she would probably not want to rent in Holyoke. Try Ludlow, Northampton, South Hadley, Sunderland and South Deerfield are nice and you may find something more reasonable there- they are small towns but right on the highway- which Hcc is off of. She will need a car out here definitely. Hope this helps.
