ANDOVER, Mass. -- Recovery officials announced a series of changes affecting Disaster Recovery Center outreach efforts in Massachusetts counties today.

•All centers will be open six days a week, closed Sundays.

•A Commonwealth/Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Boston will open at noon Monday, April 26 to assist Suffolk County individuals, households and businesses with disaster-related damage related to the severe storms and flooding which began in mid-March.

After the Monday noon opening, hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The new center is located at:
Hyde Park Municipal Building Community Center
1179 River St
Boston, MA 02136

•Two centers will be closing for good on Friday, April 23. The Thayer Library DRC in Worcester County will be closing at 7 p.m. and the Billerica Public Library in Middlesex County will be closing as of 5 p.m. this Friday.DRCs open through close-of-business Friday, April 23 are:

Middlesex County
Billerica Public Library
15 Concord Road
Billerica, MA 01821

Final Week Hours:
Through Thursday: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Friday (COB) 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Worcester County
Thayer Memorial Library
717 Main Street
Lancaster, MA 01523

Through Friday (COB) 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

•Registered applicants can update information about their application or obtain additional assistance from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily by using the FEMA helpline option at 800-621-FEMA (3362) or 800-462-7585 (TTY) for people with speech or hearing disabilities. On the Web, disaster information remains available 24 hours a day at DisasterAssistance.gov.

Homeowners, renters and businesses in declared counties should use the same FEMA toll-free lines or Website to register for FEMA disaster assistance programs.

FEMA's mission is to support our citizens and first responders and to ensure that as a nation we work together to build, sustain, and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards.
