Default Buying a house and need appliances

We are buying a house in Newton next month but will need to buy a new washer & dryer. Where would be the best place for to shop for these in that area?

You could try Poirier Appliance. They have showrooms in Newton and Norwood. Daddario Appliance I believe also has a showroom in Newton.

Lowe's & Home Depot have some high end appliances & you can compare prices online. They often times have online specials, including free delivery and/or free appliance removal. I've used both places for 5 different appliances over the past few years & have had good luck with both.

Good luck.

When I remodeled my kitchen last year I bought all my matching appliances here appliancesonlineus.com no sales tax and free delivery. (frig., walls ovens, cook-top, dishwasher, mico, and W&D) I was so happy with the purchase.

Home Depot has alot of rebates and sales right now. Plus if you open a credit card there you get an extra 10% off. It is hard to beat their deals.

There is apparently a Sears outlet in Shrewsbury that has discounted appliances that have little dings- might be worth checking it out- I've heard the savings are significant.

Two other places...

1. Warehouse clubs like Costco
2. Local Appliance Store... surprisingly good prices. (I find it better than HomeDepot)

Of course, it all depends on how picky you are. You can buy a stove... regular one for $500 or a commercial one for $8000. If you want Wolf, subzero, ... etc, there will be less places you can go to.
