I would strongly suggest using hotels.com - WE KNOW HOTELS INSIDE AND OUT.® to get a hotel, in the Boston area. You will get the best prices, and the website offers consumer reviews, and has a rating system. Boston has a plethora of hotels ranging from 1 star to 4 stars.

Good Luck!

You could stay at the Sheraton right in Copley Square. Walkable city. You are right near the Boston Public Garden, Charles River (4th of July there is amazing) Newbury Street- great shoppes and restaurants.
