Default Tax rates in Boston/MA

Hi,

I am considering moving to Boston for a job.

I am a single male. Could you please tell me the approximate rate of State Income tax and City Income Tax?

I will be renting an apartment.

Thanks,
Andy

Andy, I don't believe there is a city income tax in MA, and the state income tax is a fixed 5.3%.

Also, the sales tax here is a reasonable 5%. If you're a male under 25, the biggest shocker might be your auto insurance rates.
