Yeah, 'pining for the fjords'. I grew up in Indiana, so I know what real weather should be. Even had a tornado pass over our grade school during classes. Quite the experience.

No! There's no place as beautiful as Colorado, IMO. I love Boulder (C.U. alum from the 1970's) but grew up in the San Gabriel Valley. My aunt and uncle spent six years in Ft. Collins before retiring to Laguna Woods a few years back. Even they miss Colorado but since they spent most of their child rearing years in Orange County, they wanted to be near two of their kids who reside there.

The average high in July is 87. The reality of that is a lot of July days are >90 degrees. There are an average of ~30 90+ degree days every summer in Boulder/Denver. It can be windy. Lots of people wear contacts here.

My husband and I moved to Boulder from San Diego 1,5 years ago. We love living here in Boulder!
A dry air is the only thing that took us a wile to get used to.
