I am contemplating a job in the Denver Tech Center, but I live in Boulder. I've heard folks say that the commute is anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hr 20 minutes. What's more accurate? I did the drive once and it was about 40 minutes, but after rush hour (9:30am). Can anyone help?

thanks

shawn

FWIW, when I lived in what is now Centennial, it would take me 25-35 minutes to get from Colorado and Orchard (the place I lived in) to Colorado and I-25 (I worked in the Loews - Darth Vader building) via University...and that was on a good day.

When I worked off Evans and I-25 I pretty much took I-25 to Evans and that would take me a good 30 minutes on a weekday and it's a shorter distance. (From Orchard to Evans)

Anyhow, I would be concerned that you spend your free time commuting, even if a job is that fabulous.

Of course there is light rail so perhaps a park n ride (not sure what they call them up in the metro area as I never paid attention) is in the cards.

That will be a bumper to bumper commute. You should give it a try at 7:00. I would guess it could double your previous drive time. Another thing to consider is school is out, so it will get much worse when everyone will be back at school.
