Default Peak to Peak Charter School

Is anyone familiar with Peak to Peak Charter School in Lafayette? We are moving to Anthem in Broomfield and I'm wondering about this school. I love the idea of a k-12 school (we have 2 kids, grades 4 and 8) with small class sizes. This school is also closer to Anthem than our neighborhood schools. However, I don't really want our kids in a school that none of our neighbors go to. Anyone in Anthem (or anywhere, really) have your kids at Peak to Peak? What do you think of it? Is it hard to get into another school district (our district will be Adams 12, and Peak to Peak is in Boulder Valley)? Thanks!

Peak to Peak enrollment is all by lottery, and is a popular choice for families within BVSD. Not all who apply to the school "win the lottery." As an out of district applicant, your chances of being able to enroll your kids at Peak to Peak are remote. (Out of district applicants are enrolled only if there are openings after all in district students applying are accommodated.)

Thanks Suzco, that's pretty much what I thought. Just had to ask.

Although OE is over for this school year, it wouldn't hurt to put in the app for next year. The worst they can say is no.

This. And considering it's been ranked in the top 100 in the nation for the past 5 years, I wouldn't care if my neighbors sent thier kids there or not. Had we stayed in Broomfield or moved to Louisville, we had planned to try the lottery each and every year, in hopes of our kid getting in.
