Yeah - It is tough when you are alone and new to the area and don't have someone who you can ask for a airport (or at least the nearest PnR) pickup/dropoff

Wish those call-n-rides had expanded boundaries ...

Yeah, I didn't know about the call-n-rides, but man, that would be awesome.

Louisville still has one and Superior had one too - but that got cancelled due to low ridership (I think). Just imagine: You can have public transport show up at your doorstep and drop you off anywhere in your area or a transit hub ! The best part is that you can schedule recurring rides so you don't have to call everyday. I believe there is an online scheduling as well after your first trip or something ...

BTW: That local Route 228 goes from Louisville via Superior (Flatirons Mall) all the way to Broomfield PnR - From there you have a host of bus connections !

A word of caution about call n ride service - it doesn't work exactly as you might think it does when you read about it - it's not like calling a taxi, that shows up when you summon it, and delivers you to your destination immediately.

The service uses 14 passenger vans (I don't know if they also use other configurations), that operate on a sort of schedule, that will indeed pick you up, and let you off where you need to go, but it may or may not work for you at any given time if you are on a time-sensitive schedule.

Okay - Here is a question:

If I start my trip on a Call-n-Ride, can I get a transfer to SkyRide ? I mean, Can I apply the Call-n-ride fare as credit towards SkyRide fare ?

The RTD website does not mention anything for this scenario. Anyone here done this before ?
