Default Moving to Boulder, Need rental advice

I will be moving to Boulder this Summer to work at on office not far from the Pearl Street Mall. I am in my late 20's and looking to rent a one bedroom apartment in the downtown area...I think? I'm trying to find a decent place for around $900 a month. Any suggesstions on a certain location, property, or apartment to contact?

A lot of people on here swear by Padmapper.com. Not sure you can find anything outside the Uni area for that amount but check it out.

I agree, Padmapper.com is probably the best place to search. It may be difficult to find anything under $1,000 though. You might check out this thread from last summer/fall: Best areas of boulder?

Thank you to both of you! Padmapper is an awesome tool, I'll definitely be using it to help in the search process...I figured it would be hard to find something at this price, but was hoping the locals might have a secret

The "secret" is knowing someone with a great place who is moving and it never hits the market. Some of the best places are found via word of mouth.

We had success with Boulder Creek Apts. If you have a car, you are really nicely located in South Boulder. You can leave your car behind and take the bus with a line that gets you to Pearl Street in a few short minutes. You have the grocery store, shopping center, parks, library, rec center, bike paths, hiking trails, restaurants, right at your doorstep. The management is nice and professional. They try to keep things looking nice.
Good Luck,
Bisou
