Apologies in advance for seeking advice on a subject that has probably been asked about a million times here, but we are moving to the area at the end of next month and we are looking for a rental quickly! My husband has already started work and is living in Boulder in a small place but working in Louisville (at Avista Hospital). Our kids will be at school at High Peaks Elementary in the fall so we would like to be somewhere convenient to both. I am not having much luck with Craigslist. We need at least 4 bedrooms and don't want to be too close to CU students (and not living in a dump). The problem is if we are close to Avista, then we have a long drive to school because we will be going with all the morning commute traffic into Boulder. I would like to find something in Boulder preferably, but things are very pricey. HELP! Anywhere else to look besides Craigslist?!
Thanks!!

For Boulder rentals, you might also try talking with Housing Helpers.

We live in Gunbarrel (Heatherwood) and actually moving out of our house that we rent. It's a 3-bedroom ranch, so not sure if it will be big enough for you. There is a 4-5 bedroom rental next door that will be available in August, but it is not in a great shape. The house we currently live in is great, though. Even though there are two rentals next to each other, Heatherwood doesn't have many rentals, and it's a great family neighborhood. It's not directly between Louisville and Aurora 7 Park, but it is about 15-20 min drive to High Peaks, even in the morning, and about 20-25 min to Avista.
I can't quite speak for traffic to High Peaks in the morning, although if you are going on Valmont, continue on Pearl Parkway then turn on 30th street it's probably going to be decent even at 8:00. Just don't take Arapahoe in the morning, it was crazy before they began construction, and I have no idea how bad it is now.
I'm positive about driving to Louisville, as I catch a bus there 3 times a week, and it consistently takes me 20 minutes at 7:00 am.
Both Heatherwood and Gunbarrel will be good options in terms of driving to both places, and not as expensive as Boulder proper.

High Peaks elementary is in east Boulder; the drive shouldn't be too bad, no more than 20 min. or less from most locations in Louisville. Of course, you'd be making the round-trip twice a day, which could get to be a pain real fast. You might see if you could find a car pool if you end up living in Louisville.
