Default It's as hot there as it is here

Well, 103 degrees is nothing here considering Austin had 90 days of over 100 degree temps here last summer (a record, in part, attributed to the record-setting drought central TX is experiencing) but over 100 is pretty warm by CO standards.

How goes it? Love it? Hate it? Is it cooling down at night still?

Depending on the building your in it still cools down at night. If your in a 3rd story apt building without ac it's blistering hot.

I think i speak for most people here in CO when i say we hate this heat, not just because it's set the whole damn state of fire but because most of the people that live in colorado like it because they enjoy cold weather. I don't mind it when its in the high 70's and mid 80's but anything above that is just too hot for my tastes.

I have family in TX and there have been several days over the past 2 weeks when it's been hotter in Boulder/Denver than there. Such as it is today.
You can speak for me, ledjar. I hate it. It sucks. It should never hit 90 degrees at 8300'. Two weeks of this heat is way more than enough!

I hear you. It's just not meant to be that hot there.

Is it the Flagstaff fire (?) that is nearly 100% contained now but threatened southern Boulder? There isn't any smoke in the air at this point is there? It's hard to find info here on that fire when the one in the Springs, rightfully so, is commanding all the coverage.

Here's an article about the fire from the Boulder paper: Flagstaff Fire: Federal team prepares to depart as containment reaches 90 percent - Boulder Daily Camera
There was smoke today because they were setting back burns.
Also, an article on the heat wave http://www.dailycamera.com/news/boul...cord-97-degree
Today was Boulder's ninth day in a row over 90 degrees and closed out one of the hottest Junes in Boulder's recorded history, according to local meteorologist Matt Kelsch. At 91.2 degrees, June 2012 featured the hottest average high temperature of any June in Boulder since the official weather record began in 1897, Kelsch said.

I live up in fort collins and the high park fire has been a nightmare for us, for the last 2 and half weeks about 75% of the time the city is covered in smoke. Its finally getting contained here but the first week and a half of the fire up here i couldn't open my windows because plumes of smoke would come in the window. The first night of the fire when i woke up it felt like smoked a pack and a half of cigarettes in my sleep.
