Superior has too many covenants for my taste. I'm more of a free spirit. But that's just me.

Not familiar with Sundance and Dutch Creek, but in Sagamore the streets are narrow and the houses are practically on top of each other. The subdivision is located adjacent to the Superior Marketplace (Target, Costco, etc.) and a quick jump onto the Boulder Turnpike, but it is not a very pleasant feel to it.

Dutch Creek is in Louisville. Small houses with small yards. I think Sundance is in Louisville, too.

Yep, I agree. Our house in Florida hasn't sold yet but when we do finally move to Colorado it will probably be to Broomfield rather than Superior.

I moved away from Rock Creek in Nov. 2000, in large part because we could buy about an additional 1000 square feet of house in Broomfield for less than what we sold the house for in Superior. I think part of the reason people forget about Superior is that it's so "land locked" - you don't just drive through the middle to get other places like you do in Westminster or Broomfield - but this is also what helps makes the values higher too.
When I lived there they only loosely enforced the covenants. (May have changed by now though.) I must say though that when my neighbor parks his camper at my house(!) I really miss those covenants. (Although you're not supposed to park a vehicle that can't power itself on the street in Broomfield anyway.)

A co-worker of mine got a citation for putting hearts on an evergreen tree at Valentine's Day. The covenants committee apparently thought they were Christmas decorations. My daughter's boyfriend's family got a citation for having Christmas lights up after January 2. There was a huge brouhaha about the portable basketball hoops; they finally allowed them to stay outside for the summer.
I know what you mean about the RVs parked around town. That became an issue in our neighborhood in Louisville, too. Now most of them are off the streets, at least, and in the owners' driveways, which I really don't mind.

Wow, things indeed have changed. When we lived there a neighbor across the street broke his sprinkler system and apparently decided that meant he didn't have to do anything with his lawn then. It was a mess. Then there was the day one of his trash bags broke open and trash ended up strewn all over his lawn. He didn't really think it necessary to clean that up either. Then the next door neighbor constantly let his lawn grow knee high... I kept thinking, hey, where are the "covenant police"????? (Not that I'm saying I have the greatest yard in the world but at least it doesn't make people cringe.)
